Nandha College of Technology (NCT)
Established in 2008, NCT is a Self-financing Engineering College, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. The institution initially offered four branches: Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, and Electrical and Electronics Engineering, and it continue to offer so the present day. Two PG programs in Computer Science and Engineering as well as in Communication Systems were added, in addition to the four UG programs. The college, as of now, is functioning with 1060 UG and 4 PG students with 96 faculty members.
NCT, under the guidance of the illustrious Chairman Thiru. V. Shanmugan and Secretaries Thiru. S. Nandhakumar Pradeep and Thiru S. Thirumoorthy, with foresight and far-reaching vision, is at the forefront of innovation in technical and management education.
NCT campus provides environment for learning in harmony with nature, away from the odds of the city life. The spacious and earth hugging buildings, punctuated with landscaped courtyards and pathways are designed to emphasize the business ethics and characteristics of an excellent center for learning. The Campus hosts well planned academic blocks, computer centers, lecture halls, library, laboratories, and Conference hall and hostel facilities. The Campus also has ATM, Gym and a clinic to attend the general health of the students and staff members. The Faculty Student ratio is maintained as 1:20. NCT has the admission percentage of over 80% for the last three years with excellent placement record of 90% and above.
Central Library
The college takes pride in having a Central Library block with a built up area of 493 sq.m. The Library has more than 32500 Volumes and subscribing 200 journals which include national and international journals and magazines. In addition to books and journals, 5 e-journals packages are subscribed. The NCT library is subscribing many on-line databases of e-resources including IEEE, ASME, ProQUEST, EBSCO-e-books, NPTEL, DELNET, NDLI etc.
The primary aim of the library is to support the student of our institution for education. The collection of the library includes Books, Journals, Magazines, Project report, Question Bank, Newspaper, back Volumes and other richest collection in the fields of Management studies, Science and Technologies.
The library has a separate section for Audio Video Cassettes, CD-ROMS, Journals, Magazines, Internet services and Reference books like Bibliographies, Encyclopaedias, and Dictionaries etc. Library is computerized using I-lib automation software, which helps the Students and Staff members to search any type of library documents. The Bar-coding technology is adopted with the software to speedup the circulation process.
